Built because the bill was a surprise every month
CostHawk started inside TrainMyAgent, where our engineering team was shipping AI features fast and getting blindsided by API bills that were two or three times what we expected. We had no breakdown by model, no idea which projects were burning through tokens, and no warning before the invoice hit.
I looked for a tool that could just show me what we were spending, broken down by provider and project, in real time. Everything I found was either enterprise-locked, required a credit card to start, or only covered a single provider. So I built one.
CostHawk is the tool I wished existed: one dashboard for every AI provider, free from day one, with local-first telemetry so you don't have to hand over admin credentials to get started.
